Significance Of Akshaya Tritiya
India is a country that celebrates a lot of festivals. Such seasonal festivals are the threads of the Indian age-old tradition which bind people to their roots.
Every Hindu festival has its own significance. For example, if Ram Navami is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Ram, Janmashtami is the occasion when people celebrate Lord Krishna’s birthday. If the first one happens on Chaitra (March in English), the later one is the occasion of Vadra (Mainly in mid August).

Akshaya Thritiya or the gold festival is one such seasonal festival of Baisakha (in April). Usually, it is celebrated on the third lunar day of the bright fortnight. On the 7th day from the Indian New-year on 1st Baisakh, people celebrate Akshaya thritiya. Like every other occasion, there is some importance of akshaya tritiya. In Sanskrit, the word 'Akshaya’ means no decay. It is believed in Hinduism that this day brings good fortune and luck in your life.
