Symbols Of Christianity And Significance
Christianity is one of the most popular religions from around the world. There are more than a billion people from around the world who belong to Christianity. The significance behind the Cross is that, it is a reminder of Christ's suffering so that we remain humbled by His sacrifice.

He embraced Christianity in the 3000 AD. However, it is this symbol which existed much before Christ and was used as a motif of decoration before. The Anch
This is one of the most famous symbol of Christianity. The Anch cross denotes the mythical and eternal life. It is an Egyptian cross which also symbolises rebirth and the life giving power of the sun.

This is yet another famous Christianity symbol which is worn for protection. The Ancient and magical amulet is worn by many Italians to protect them from the evil eye. It is commonly worn along with a Cross.
Nero cross
It is also known as the peace symbol in Christianity. The nero cross is to symbolise the destruction of violence and to bring about peace in the world. It was revived in the sixties by those who protested against nuclear weapons.
The Pentagram
This is another symbol which is used for protection. The four basic elements which is present in the pentagram indicate wind, water, earth and fire. They all add to the sole reason behind Mother Earth.

The Anthony Cross/ Tau Cross

The Cantebury Cross
It is a cross which has four arms of equal length which widen to a hammer shape at the outside ends. This cantebury cross symbolises the Anglican church.
The Coptic Cross
It has been influenced by the ankh cross. The Coptic cross was adopted by early Christian Gnostics. The circle in the Coptic cross only represents the eternal and everlasting love of God.
The Greek Cross
The Cross is one of the most ancient human symbols, and has been used by many religions. It is said that the Greek Cross represents the four divisions in the world which is the North, East, South and West.
St Peters cross
This is one of the most outstanding symbols in Christianity. It is said that the St Peters Cross is upside down as it denotes that Christ was crucified head long. A tradition that some of the Christians believe in, which is uncanny.
