Dussehra 2023: On the tenth day of Navratri or Durga Puja, Dussehra or Vijayadashami is celebrated, according to the Hindu lunar calendar month of Ashwin, which usually falls in September or October. This day commemorates the triumph of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana, as symbolizes the victory of good over evil in the Hindu epic Ramayana. Goddess Durga is also worshipped on this day and it also celebrates her victory over the buffalo demon, Mahishasura.
