1. Broken Utensils

2. Dirty Home
Cleanliness is something that Goddess Lakshmi is extremely fond of and devotees believe she only resides in clean and pure places. If there is filth everywhere in the house like dust, dirty utensils, and soiled clothes, then the Goddess will become angry and not reside in the house. Therefore, keeping the house clean must be a priority on this day.

3. Broken Broom
There are certain rules related to brooms. The broom in the house is seen as the symbol of Goddess Lakshmi.
