Akshaya Tritiya 2023: Inauspicious Things To Remove From Home For Good Luck
Akshaya Tritiya, which is also known as Akha Teej is an important festival, especially for Hindus and Jains in Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Vaisakh. This day is associated with wealth and is believed to bring good fortune and success. The festival is celebrated this year on 22 April 2023. This day is so auspicious that there is no fixed time to perform the auspicious deeds and one can get numerous benefits on this day.
However, it is also advised to take care of some rules and precautions on this auspicious day. There is a belief that there are some things that should be thrown out of the house as soon as possible to invite good luck and please Goddess Lakshmi. Check out the list of those items you need to keep at bay on Akshaya Tritiya.

1. Broken Utensils
Keeping broken utensils in the house is associated with discord and disturbance in the house, according to astrology. Goddess Lakshmi will never reside in such a house. To remove the negativity from the house and to bring happiness to your family, you need to remove all the broken utensils from your kitchen as soon as possible.
2. Dirty Home
Cleanliness is something that Goddess Lakshmi is extremely fond of and devotees believe she only resides in clean and pure places. If there is filth everywhere in the house like dust, dirty utensils, and soiled clothes, then the Goddess will become angry and not reside in the house. Therefore, keeping the house clean must be a priority on this day.
3. Broken Broom
There are certain rules related to brooms. The broom in the house is seen as the symbol of Goddess Lakshmi. It is believed that on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, if there is a broken broom in the house, the progress of the family stops and the worship of Goddess Lakshmi does not yield results. If there is a broken broom in your house, then throw it out before the festival of Akha Teej.
4. Dried Plants
If there are dry and withered plants in the house, then they become the cause of Vastu dosh. This also angers Goddess Lakshmi. Do not keep dry plants in the house at all. If you are fond of keeping plants, then take proper care of them. Along with Goddess Lakshmi, the blessings of Lord Vishnu are also received from the green plants in the house.
5. Torn And Old Shoes
If there are torn-old shoes and slippers in the house, then you need to throw them out by today itself. The presence of these things is believed to invite poverty and negativity in the house. Before Akshaya Tritiya arrives, you need to get rid of these things from the house.
