Akshaya Tritiya 2024: Dos And Don'ts To Follow On Akha Teej For Happiness And Prosperity
Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akti or Akha Teej, is a highly auspicious day in the Hindu calendar. It falls on the third lunar day (Tritiya) of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the Indian month of Vaishakha. This festival holds immense significance in the Hindu community, marking a day when Lord Kuber was blessed by Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma, entrusting him with the treasures of heaven.
On Akshaya Tritiya, devotees pay homage to deities such as Lord Ganesha, Lord Kuber, Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Lakshmi. The festival also aligns with Parashurama Jayanti, adding to its auspiciousness.

3. Engage in spiritual activities such as prayers, pujas, and meditation for spiritual growth and blessings.
4. Purchase gold or make financial investments as it is believed to bring prosperity and good fortune.
5. Initiate or celebrate marriages, engagements, or other significant relationships on this auspicious day.
6. Some people observe a fast on Akshaya Tritiya as a form of devotion and to seek blessings.
Don'ts For Akshaya Tritiya
1. Try to maintain a positive mindset and refrain from engaging in negative thoughts, speech, or actions.
2. Many people choose to abstain from consuming non-vegetarian food on Akshaya Tritiya as a form of respect for the day's auspiciousness.
3. Consume simple and Satvik food on this day.
4. Try to maintain harmony and avoid conflicts or arguments with others and refrain from any inauspicious activities.
5. While buying gold or making investments is considered auspicious, avoid indulging in wasteful or unnecessary spending.
6. Do not end fast on this day if you are observing it because it is said to bring bad luck.
