Ahoi Ashtami 2023: Date, Muhurat
Ahoi Ashtami in 2023 will be celebrated on Sunday, 5 November 2023. Ashtami Tithi will start on 05 November at 1:00 pm and will end on 06 November at 3:18 am. Therefore the auspicious time of puja is from 5:42 pm to 7:00 pm. After seeing the stars, the time of Arghya will start from 05:58 pm.
Apart from fasting and worship, one special thing is done and that is wearing the Syahu Mala of Ahoi Mata. This special type of locket is called Syahu Locket which is made of silver and is worn on the day of Ashtami by braiding it in red thread. Let us know what is the religious significance of this locket.
Ahoi Ashtami 2023: Significance Of Wearing Syahu Locket
Wearing the Syahu locket strengthens the Moon of the wearer, due to which his decision-making ability increases and his health also remains good. After wearing it on the day of Ashtami, it is worn till Diwali, and then after that, it is kept safely in a safe.
By threading a silver Syahu locket with a red thread or Kalava and adding a silver pearl to it, a Syahu locket is prepared which is offered to the Mother Goddess and worn around the neck.
Let us tell you that during this Nirjala fast, worship is done in the evening and then Arghya is offered under the shade of stars at night. A statue or picture of Mata Ahoi is made in the house.
