Arguments Can Make Stronger Bonds

Family arguments
Families argue for the equivalent of approximately four years, with mothers causing most of the rows. Mothers seem to play the pivotal role within the family.

A survey comprising 3,000 families, found TV, household chores and attitude to be the main causes of the family tensions.

In a day, a family spends about 15 minutes arguing with each other.

While daughters were most likely to slam doors during an argument, fathers preferred to go for a long drive to cool off.

Although arguments are a common factor in all families, they play a vital role in building and strengthening bonds within the family and act as a release valve for family members. Therefore once in a while, minor arguments do play a positive role in family life.

Sometimes, it is worthwhile counting slowly to ten, indeed!
