Getting married and all knotted up?
Use these guidelines to fight pre-wedding stress.
One of the greatest challenges faced by brides or grooms is the feeling that everything might go wrong on D-Day. As a result of which they start feeling anxious and nervous. And by the time the BIG day arrives she/he is a bundle of nerves.
Here are some useful tips to help get rid of the stress and help you walk down the aisle totally relaxed.
Spend some quiet time alone, relax and really visualise in your mind the events of your wedding going smoothly. Do this exercise several times a day if you need to!
Exercise is a great stress buster. You can take a break and go to the gym or go for a brisk walk, which will refresh your mind and body.
Time also causes a great deal of stress. Don't try and do everything yourself. Delegate work as much as you can to others so that you can relax.
Every day, preferably at night before going to sleep, do some breathing exercises, which will relax your muscles and calm your mind, body and nervous system.
Start drinking more water instead of coffee and sugar loaded liquids. Caffeine, sugar and salt cause chemical reactions in your nervous system thereby giving you a bloated and puffed up feeling due to water retention.
Laughing, singing and being happy are great ways to reduce the stress. Laughing helps to relax the facial muscles and calms the eyes too.
Stretching also reduces stress. Try stretching your arms and legs, which will tone them and will remove, built up tensions in your muscles.
Take a warm oil massage and thereafter a hot bath, which will make you feel fresh and energetic. Scented candles or dim lights in the bathroom smooths the ambience.
Meditation will help you to reach a peaceful state. This way, you can concentrate on calm thoughts thereby relieving the tension.
Last but not the least- have a good sleep. Maintain a regular sleep schedule to help reduce the occurrence of headaches. Sleep will not only rejuvenate your skin but also improve blood circulation.
