Recap
Ashwathy, a civil engineer , learns that her harsh and critical colleague, Aditya, has been in a car accident and is in the ICU. Despite their rocky relationship, she feels compelled to visit him at the hospital, where she bonds with his family, his sister Radhika and mother Mrs. Sharma. This experience softens her perception of Aditya, leading to a more humane understanding of his character.
As Aditya recovers, he returns to work with a changed demeanor, offering Ashwathy a yellow rose and an apology, indicating a desire for friendship. Their relationship evolves from professional to personal as they start having coffee together after work, which leads to office gossip and Ashwathy's subsequent decision to take a step back. However, Aditya confesses his love for her, which catches her off guard, leading to a period of tension and introspection. They decide to be friends and take it slow and decide things will be sweeter when they naturally evolve like a piece of chocolate.

A Surprise Announcement
The office boy moved around the workspace, handing out chocolate bars on Aditya's behalf, leaving everyone puzzled, including Ashwathy. Everyone knew it wasn't his birthday.
"He probably got a promotion," Anjali whispered into Ashwathy's ear, her tone laced with excitement.
Ashwathy smiled. "Well, that would be great news then."
"Yeah, of course," Anjali teased, flashing a knowing grin.
"Anjali," Ashwathy warned, her cheeks tinged pink as she gave her friend a playful glare.
Before Anjali could say anything more, their Managing Director stepped forward and clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. He then draped his arm around Aditya's shoulder.
"Guess what, everyone? Aditya is taking a new leap forward! It's great news, but also a bittersweet one, he'll be leaving the company and even the country. He's off to the UK to expand his career."
The office erupted into congratulatory cheers, but for Ashwathy, everything blurred. She was shocked, deeply upset even. She wasn't sure what hurt more; the fact that he was leaving or that he had hidden it from her.
She turned to look at him, her eyes clouded with emotions. Aditya, too, glanced at her now and then, his expression unreadable yet laced with guilt.
The Confrontation
That evening, as everyone wrapped up their work, Aditya found Ashwathy at her desk, pretending to be busy.
"Ashwathy, can we talk?" he asked hesitantly.
She didn't look up. "What is there to talk about?"
He sighed. "I wanted to tell you... everything was finalized at the last minute. I was planning before I befriended you, but somehow, things got delayed, and now it all worked out."
She finally met his gaze, her eyes blazing. "And you couldn't tell me? Not even once?"
"I didn't know how to," he admitted. "I was afraid of how you'd react."
She let out a sarcastic chuckle. "Oh, so it was easier to just drop the bomb like this?"
"Ashwathy, please. I never wanted to hurt you," he said softly.
"Well, you did."
With that, she grabbed her bag and walked out, leaving him standing there, helpless.
The Silent Goodbye
From that day on, Ashwathy refused to speak to Aditya. He tried-messaging, calling but she ignored him.
The day of his departure arrived. She saw his message pop up on her phone:
"Ashwathy, I'm leaving today. I really want to see you one last time. Please... if you can, come."
She read it, stared at it and then locked her phone without replying.
But as the clock ticked by, a restlessness settled over her. Her heart pounded at the thought of him leaving just like that.
Before she knew it, she was rushing out of her apartment, hailing a cab to the airport.
When she arrived, her eyes frantically scanned the departure gates. But she was too late. His flight had already taken off.
Tears welled up in her eyes, and before she could stop them, they spilled over. The reality of his absence hit her like a wave, he was gone.
A Void That Couldn't Be Filled
Days passed, but the emptiness remained. She missed his presence, his silly jokes, the way he made work feel less stressful.
A new senior civil engineer joined in his place, and it only made things worse. She couldn't focus. She had never realized just how much he meant to her until now.
She often found herself staring at her phone, tempted to message him. But something held her back. If he missed her, wouldn't he text first?

A Surprise Gift At The Doorstep
One evening, as Ashwathy sat on her couch, lost in thought, the doorbell rang. She opened the door to find a courier guy standing there, holding a large package.
"Delivery for Ashwathy," he said, handing over a big box.
She frowned, confused. "I didn't order anything."
"It's already paid for. Enjoy your gift," he said with a knowing smile before walking away.
Curious, she brought the box inside and carefully opened it. Her eyes widened as she pulled out a huge, fluffy teddy bear. A small envelope was attached to its ribbon.
With trembling fingers, she opened the card and read -
"I am sorry once again. I really wanted to see you before I left. It hurt me so much that you didn't come. I don't know if it's okay to say this, but I really miss you and wish you were here with me. I miss our time and chats together, and I especially miss your beautiful face and that laugh of yours. Kudos to you for making me say such mushy stuff, I never thought I would!
- Aditya" with a heart emoticon
A blushing smile crept over her lips. She hugged the teddy bear tightly, whispering, "I miss you too, Aditya... and I guess I love you too."

To wrap it up, as Teddy Day reminds us of love, warmth, and unspoken emotions, let this be a cue to express your feelings to those who matter. A simple gift, like a teddy bear, can speak volumes when words fail.
