Best Advice On Being Friends With Your Ex
You would always hear that exes cannot be friends. But, recently Hollywood stars Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson broke that notion. They are exes for all public knowledge, and they seemed pretty comfortable meeting each other. In fact, they were seen to be quite excited to see each other. This is not an isolated case at all. There are many people out there who have found their best friends in their exes.
A lot of you have exes dominating your life, and you are left wondering if it is possible to befriend your ex. Well, this is a question that you may want to ask your own self. Are you ready to be friends with your ex? Do you think the relationship as on this date with your ex would not be anything more than a friendship? If the answer to these questions is a yes, then probably you can be friends with your ex.
There should be a comfort zone, wherein you can discuss anything under this earth with your ex. Remember, your ex might have a present. Are you ready to accept it as a friend? If you can accept it, can be happy for him/her, and are mutually sure of a friendship, it is a classic way towards a new beginning. Here’s some advice that might help you follow the decision. If you are keen on progressing towards a friendship with your ex, here’s your way to it.

Take Time Off
It is important to take some time off from your ex before you think of a new beginning with the same person. Yes, you have parted on the best possible terms. It is pretty good to know that. But, does that mean you don’t deserve the mourning period? Mourning period is necessary whatever the relationship outcome be. It is necessary just to take hold of your feelings, and be a little better at handling them. Instead of being bitter about the break up, in case you are thinking of the best moments you spent with your ex, you can call yourself ready for the next level i.e. friendship.
Call it Honesty
There are times when you call in for friendship, but the heart most certainly wants more. You think friendship will suffice the purpose, but in reality you are looking to regain the old relationship back. At this point in time, your friendship dose won’t work, and it would be better if you don’t call in for being friends. It is always good to maintain honesty about your relationship with your ex.
Is it Mutual?
Does your ex, with whom you are planning to recreate a new relationship named friendship, ready for this new beginning? Do they also feel the same way about getting involved with friendship? In case they don’t, make sure you don’t force it down your throat. It should always be mutual. Avoid the whole thing if you don’t feel it is mutual.
Past is Past
It is always good to put the past behind you. If you are going to consult the past every now and then, it is not a healthy sign for a new beginning. Instead try putting the past behind you. It will help gain a new beginning in the desired way.
Don’t Mix Ex with Sex
The whole feeling of sex can demolish the thought of friendship from within. It is definitely not a good idea to have sex with your ex while you plan on maintaining a friendly relationship. It is not the right way to start off the new relationship. Remember ex sex is the worst possible idea.
