Love On A Walk: A Real Love Story
These were the words I used to explain her to my close friends after I returned from Kolkata. Why I went there? Flash back….
My brother's marriage plans were on and I had to go to Kolkata to see a girl for him. So, I went with my bro to see my would be sister-in-law. I had just been back from home, and had no interest to travel again. Just then I came to know that my would be sister-in-law has a younger sister, and also heard that she is good looking…
What then? Men won't change.... I joined the crew. We met at a restaurant in Kolkata. She was busy talking with my brother and I was busy with my would be sister-in-law. Guess we both were trying to judge the other person, thinking if he and she are perfect for each other or not. That day I didn"t notice her much..
My innocent brother gave up the fight with my parents and agreed for marriage. Next day a small engagement ceremony was planned up. My parents flied down and I went to their place with my family.
She was wearing a red suit and was looking gorgeous, though her black nail polish gave a devil touch. I couldn't believe her look can change so drastically. Last day she was wearing a top and jeans. She looked attractive but when I saw her in salwar kameez, I couldn't resist but stare at her. Once the ceremony was over, I invited her for a walk. Obviously I couldn't ask her directly. I made an excuse to give the 'soon to be married couple' some quality time. I guess that walk was the kick start of our love relationship. The walk was on busy streets so can"t call it an exotic one. There I observed her all the time. She looked beautiful. With the femininity, she attracted all my attention. After sometime, we returned back. I was feeling something.... I wanted the moment to stop there.
We left their place after an hour. I returned back to Bangalore and then started calling her. 'Just as a friend!' That's what I had to tell my brother who twisted his eyes every time I called her. I started sharing bits and pieces of my life with her. Calls carried thoughts, problems, care, emotions of each other, and finally I felt that I need this girl in my life… I was in love with her. I forced her a little to make her say the 3 magical words, I Love You! I never thought I would enter a long distance relationship. Valentine's day and all other special days only over the phone....
Our long distance relationship faced both pros and cons of being in love. Where shouldering each other were difficult at times, fights became non surprising, our biannual dates were equally passionate once….
We sailed through for nearly 4 years now, and I still feel the same way for my love, the day when I saw her first. She still says those 3 words with a twist….. “I hate u!" Life has changed a little and I don't get much time to spend with her. Thanks to my IT job. WAKE UP CALLS, GOODNITE CALLS, EVENING CALLS, AFTERNOON CALLS, ALL HAD LOVE IN IT……
I am not much of a writer so can"t put the feelings in words. Just hope the WALK OF LOVE continues throughout my life. This is my real love story. We are still happy together and she gave a new dimension to our love story by coming over here. Yes! She was too bored of long distance relationship and so, now she stays in Bangalore, near me. I will celebrate valentine's day with her. I am happy to have her in my life and wish to stay like this forever....
MY SUNSHINE, I LOVE U……
