Wealthy Lovers Cheated And Robbed

As the relationship graduates from chat rooms to hotel rooms, the woman's boyfriends or husbands will make an appearance and threaten the man involved out of his money. Three such men have seeked help after being cheated, reveals MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong.
“The victims had all agreed for 'trysts' with the women they had befriended in chatrooms and Networking sites, before being confronted by men claiming to be the women's husbands or boyfriends," The New Straits Times Online quoted him, as saying.
"The 'cheated' men then beat up the victims and seize their valuables, before extorting them for money," he said, adding that the women played along as if they were caught unaware when the fact was they had set the trap.
One such cases had a man demanding RM 50,000 from a victim, but got away with a lesser amount after Chong intervened.
