Last year, we had seen almost every big brands launching a line of skinny jeans, one after another. Shelves of most of these outlets had remained full with this figure hugging jeans. This year, there is some thing new, some thing to complement this trend. Welcome the new fad - 'boyfriend trend' - this summer.

Women have invaded men's domain a little further, for this year catwalks will witness something cool, comfy and stylish - altogether called the 'boyfriend' trend. So, how does the new fashion look like? Well, as the name says, it's been termed to all the masculine blazers and jackets that entered this season's collections. And when teamed with skinny jeans, leggings or tights, they make for sexy yet comfy combos. Designers have embraced the look, as have chain stores such as Country Road, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The 'boyfriend cut' is also being asked for at salons. Senior stylist Shae Tsiknaris, from New Farm's Tsiknaris Hair, said: "No longer the province of goths and punks, the androgynous style suits men and women and doesn't take a lot of looking after.
