Pizza Sauce Recipe: How To Prepare Pizza Sauce At Home

Pizza sauce is one of the essential elements in preparing any pizza. Using ketchup or tomato sauce instead of the pizza sauce would reduce the taste of the whole pizza. Hence, the pizza sauce can be made with fresh tomato puree and onions, which enable the pizza to bring out its authentic taste.
Pizza sauce is prepared by sautéing the tomato puree with onions, garlic and other ingredients. The pungent taste of the onion and garlic is what makes this sauce distinctive from the other sauces.
Pizza sauce can be smeared on any pizza base and below any kind of toppings. It can also be eaten as a side dish with rotis or chapatis. So if you would like to try our recipe of preparing a pizza sauce, learn how to make it by watching our video and following the step-by-step procedure including images.

- Onions and garlic can also be ground instead of adding the chopped onions and garlic to prepare the sauce
- Make sure to sauté the mixture until it reduces to a gravy's consistency
- The sauce doesn't have to be cooked for long, as we need to taste the pungent flavours of the tomato and onion while relishing the pizza.
