Massages For Your Pregnant Wife

Massaging your pregnant wife during her journey to motherhood comes as one of the sweetest things a man can do to show his love for her. It shows you care for her and her feelings.

Any woman goes through a lot during pregnancy as she has to carry the burden of the child alone till the birth. She goes through a lot of emotions and stress along. As a husband you least you can do is to show her you are there for her needs and understand her feelings.

It could be aching back, swollen feet or cramped legs that are bothering your wife. Such small things can bring lot of misery during pregnancy. Dedicating a few minutes of your time to massage her shall bring about some respite and will go a long way in strengthening your relationship.

Massages For Your Pregnant Wife

She would feel more secured and assured about your love and care for her. It does not need too much skill on your part to do these massages.

While giving sensual massages to your pregnant wife, constantly ask for her feedback and alter your massaging pattern and amount of pressure you apply.

Some women like more pressure and hard massages while others prefer soft and sensual massages to sooth their body. Ask your wife as to which part of the body she feels stressed and start applying low to medium pressure while massaging in those spots.

Most common areas of stress for pregnant women could be back, buttock, neck and legs.

Back pain massage
Begin at the nape of your wife's neck and continue gently massing down to the hips. Then begin gently moving back up the neck on the opposite side of the spine. Incorporate both sides of the spine into the massage technique while staying clear of the spine itself.

Buttock massage
Assist in reducing strain on the buttocks by massaging a soft fist gently into the bone at the base of the spine. Use your fist to gently press in and down, tiling the pelvis just slightly as you do so. Avoid moving down far enough to involve touching the tailbone.

Massage for the Legs
In the sideline position, or even sitting down with her legs elevated, gently rub the outer part of her leg. You can take your loose fist and do long, gentle strokes along the outside of her thighs and calves or smaller, circular motions starting at her foot and going toward her bottom.

Kneeling technique
Kneeling technique provides support to her belly while relieving pressure. Have your wife kneel by the bed with her shoulders supported by the bed. Place a pillow or two under her knees for comfort and be sure her belly is free from pressure. Always let your wife determine her comfort level.

Hands and Feet
Your partner can use massage to reduce swelling in her hands and feet. Your goal should be to get her blood circulating, moving fluid away from your toes, fingers, hands, and ankles. Begin by massaging at the end of the fingers and toes and work toward the centre of your body. Hold her feet while she lies down on her back and gently massage her feet with your thumbs.

Neck massage
Seat your wife on a chair with her front side facing the chair's back. Open your hands wide and Place each hand on the person's shoulders. Your hands shall bend over the top of her shoulder, but keep your thumbs on her back. Move your thumbs in a circular motion on the person's shoulders by apply gentle pressure and increase the pressure by little after every minute.
