5 Tips To Deal With Labour
Preparing for labour is very important during pregnancy. Once you are prepared mentally, you will not find the labour pain too troublesome. Every pregnant woman is scared of the tough time when she will enter labour. So, here are few tips to help a woman get through the labour easily.
5 effective tips on how to deal with labour:
Stay at home: When you are preparing for delivery, it is best to take rest and be at home. Slight carelessness can be harmful for your body. So, avoid going out and roaming unnecessarily. Home is the best place where you are comfortable and secure. You can walk freely without feeling shy and wear loose fitting clothes in order to relax. Spend some time alone before labour as it always feels great to spend some time with yourself.
Never sleep alone: Pregnant women usually get scary dreams while sleeping. This can be really troublesome for any woman. Blood pressure fluctuates from high to low thus anxiety and tension increases stress levels thus making the woman spend sleepless nights. So, reduce stress levels by sleeping with someone. Ideally, husbands should make their wives feel comfortable and never leave her alone. Even in the day time, never leave a pregnant woman take a nap all alone.
Take it positively: You should take labour very positively. It is a pain that is temporary. While few women have a labour of 2-4 hours, there are few who face 36-45 hours of labour! If you are getting tensed and stress levels have made you spend sleepless nights, then try your hands on yoga. Consult your doctor before doing yoga during pregnancy. The movements of your baby can only decide if you are capable to practice yoga at the third trimester.
Be prepared: You may have to run to the hospital any time, so be handy with the necessary things that you will require like sanitary napkins, baby napkins, clothes etc. Pack your things and keep them ready so that you can use them whenever required. Also show them to your husband or family member so that they do not find it difficult to get those items. Decorate your baby's room and knead few clothes for your newborn. Kneading baby clothes is the best time pass for any pregnant woman.
Eat, sleep and workout: Before labour, a pregnant woman should eat healthy and must have a proper sleep. This reduces stress and also provides the nutrients that are required during pregnancy. Increase the intake of folic acid in your diet. If your doctor permits, try slight exercises especially intended for pregnant women.
Try these tips to deal with labour without worrying much. Keep the support of your man so that you feel encouraged mentally!
