5 Reasons Why Sleep Is Important For Newborns
Being a mother is a great feeling. But being a mother is not simple. You will have to face new challenges, new responsibilities to become an efficient mother. Your little one will require a lot of your care and pampering. You need to maintain a schedule to feed them, wash them and help them sleep peacefully.
A good sleep for newborns is extremely essential for them. There are a lot of health benefits of sleep for babies. If your baby doesn't get a good sleep, his/her mood can be affected; a nagging nature can grow in them.
A peaceful sleep for newborns is necessary for them, but it is important for you too. If they get peaceful sleep, you too can rest properly. Mother’s duty can be quite challenging, specifically when you are a new mother. You too need enough rest to keep up a good mood and enough physical strength to bring up your kid. So, here's why sleep is important for babies.

Helps In Baby's Growth
Sleep for newborns is very necessary as it helps their body to grow well. When a baby is sleeping well, the secretion of growth hormone allows them to grow and be healthy.

Brain Development
Importance of sleep for babies includes the development of a healthy brain. If your baby gets enough sleep two times a day, their brain will develop faster and better. So more the sleep the baby gets, the more smarter the child will be.

Growth Of Central Nervous System
This is one of the important reasons why sleep for newborns is compulsory. Experts say that if a baby gets sound sleep, its central nervous system gets well-developed than the child who is not getting proper sleep.

Energetic
The more the babies sleep, the more they will be relaxed. This will be easier to manage when your baby is smiling and laughing instead of crying all the time.

Healthy Immunity
If your baby gets sufficient sleep, his/her immune system will get a big boost and that will help in preventing diseases. Hence, being a mother, it is your duty to ensure your baby is getting adequate sleep.
Good sleep can make your baby more interactive, their responses will be quicker and likewise.
If you carefully look, you will find that your baby is smiling, twitching while sleeping. This is known as active sleep. At this point, although the body of your child is resting, its brain is fully active. This situation sustains for 60 minutes approximately. Research says that when babies are in deep sleep, most of the development, including brain functions, takes place. As a mother, it is your responsibility to ensure your baby is having a good sleep.
