Master Multi-Tasking With Video Games

The new findings suggest that shoot-to-kill video games enhance quick-thinking and polish their reflexes.
"Playing video games helps the natural reflexes, it makes players more responsive and able to switch between different tasks," said Dr Lorenza Colzato, Assistant Professor of Leiden University's Psychology Department.
Parents need not be scared to allow their children to play video games as they do have a positive effect of the brain. It helps them to think and react quickly, which is an important need of the modern lifestyle.
Today's children have to master the skill of doing many things at a time. It will help them in long run, when they step into the professional world. One may be checking mails and answering a phone call or cooking while thinking about the office meetings.
Playing violent video games does not always provoke people into anti-social behaviour. It rather helps to sharpen the reflexes and enables one to manage a few tasks at a time.
Colzato said the skills learned from the video games would help people in fast-paced job and help people to remain active and alert. Elderly people, too can play video games to activate their reflexes.
