Adopted Child Should Know The Truth

The foster parents need to explain it to the child that they are special and a gift from God. Child adoption, is not easy as it involves alot of difficulty in the process of telling the adopted child and going through pain if the child does not accept his/her foster parents later when he/she knows.
Here is some parenting tips/advice on how you can tell your adopted child that he/she did not come from your body.
1.Age, it is very important to tell your adopted child that he/she is adopted. When you feel that your child understands more about the world and how families are made, it is then, you explain to him he is special and adopted. Make sure that you are soft and understandable so that the child will not get angry and feel that he does not belong to you.
2.When you are speaking to your child on adoption and breaking the news to him/her, make sure that you are patient and loving. An adopted child will ask their foster parents alot of adoption questions, so make sure that you are well prepared to answer each one of them patiently.
3.The best parenting advice for foster parents is to tell their child, themselves, that he/she is adopted, as it will be painful for the adopted child to hear it from a friend or family. Tell the child in simpler forms so that he/ she knows that you love him/her no matter what and that he/she will always remain your child even though you are not his/her birth mother.
Child adoption has become very common all over the world. Single parents too adopt a child to love and care for. An adopted child, is truly a blessing to each family and is surely a miracle gift from God.
