The Gold Plate of Jillan Fox
To his astonishment he so a golden plate glittering at the bank of the palace pond. At the first glimpse itself Jillan loved the plate. He thought "might be the little princess left the plate on the bank after her food".
Jillan looked around. No one at sight. He took the plate on mouth and immediately ran back to is cave.
The news that Jillan got a golden plate spread across the forest like a forest fire and it reached the ears of Lion King too. Lion king wanted to possess the plate some how and send his prime minister to Jillan to give away the plate to the king.
But Jillan loved the plate so much and had decided not to loose it anyway. He told the prime minister that it is his wish to wake up everyday seeing his golden plate.
And he also added that whatever he gets in return, he would not hand over the plate to anyone.
Listening this the furious minister returned to the king and told him what has happened.
Lion king asked Jillan to meet him immediately and ordered him to surrender the plate to the king and also warned him that if he disobeyed the royal order Jillan will be torn into pieces.
Jillan was afraid a lot, but was not at all willing to give away the plate. He started thinking and idea and suddenly something flashed in his brain.
With a naughty smile he told the king "Sir, I can give you a golden plate. In the forest pond every night there will be a gold plate. got mine from there. If you come with me I can help you to get one like mine".
The happy king roared loudly and patted Jillan's back and offered him precious gifts.
The very next night Jillan took lion king to the forest pond. In the water the reflection of full moon glittered like a gold plate.
Jillan told "Sir, see the gold plate under water. Jump immediately before someone comes and takes it away".
The greedy king jumped into the deep pond and never came up.
Intelligent Jillan went back to his cave and started sleeping, holding his gold plate. A smile of relief was dancing on his lips.
