Impact of weight when trying to conceive:

Overweight: An overweight woman can face complications if she is trying to get pregnant. The impaired ability to conceive is a common problem related to weight before getting pregnant. After conceiving, preeclampsia, hypertension, gestational diabetes are common ailments which can relate to the overweight of a pregnant woman. An overweight women before trying to get pregnant needs to change her diet in order to prevent herself from ailments and reduce chances of a C section delivery which is very painful.

If excess weight is the reason behind not conceiving then get into a strict healthy diet with exercise regime to be in shape before getting pregnant. Heavy weight of a woman can also lead to infertility.

Underweight: On the other side, being underweight is a matter of concern before trying to get pregnant. An underweight woman can face problem in conceiving as it affects ovulation. Lack of nutrition supply and weak mother can directly have an impact on the growth of the baby. Being underweight can lead to a premature delivery, or having a baby with low birth weight or slow growth and development of the baby. A healthy diet with appropriate nutrition supply can help overcome underweight issues.

Weight is directly related to pregnancy as it affects both the woman and the baby's health. Be in the desired shape according to your height to avoid suffering from blood pressure and diabetes during pregnancy. The growing baby needs calories and nutrients to grow and develop, so don't start dieting during pregnancy. Have a healthy diet plan and lifestyle before conceiving.
