Will You Hire A $1,000 Billboard To Go On A Date If You Are Single? This Guy Has ‘Normal Hobbies' As Well!
A 28-year-old data manager from West, Dave Cline, has taken a unique approach to finding love by renting a billboard. The colourful sign, which cost him over $1,000, features a smiling Cline giving a thumbs-up and reads: "Want to go on a DATE with Dave?"

The billboard also includes some quick facts about Cline, such as his normal hobbies, cat ownership, and cooking skills. This unconventional method has already garnered some attention and even led to a date in the works.
Dave's Billboard Smile For Date
In an interview with WPVI, Cline mentioned that the billboard was initially meant to be humorous. However, it has resulted in several messages from interested individuals. "It was just supposed to be funny for the most part," he said, adding that receiving messages is "great."
On July 24, Cline confirmed his single status on Instagram. He posted: "It may shock you to know, but the guy who bought a billboard as a funny hehe haha really is actually 100% single! If you live in Philadelphia (or anywhere with central AC) feel free to send me a message!"
How Netizens Are Reacting
The responses to Cline's billboard have been overwhelmingly positive. One Instagram user commented: "This is the most clever idea! Best of luck to you, Dave! 🎉🎉 PS you're a hit in the cat groups on FB right now 🤪." Another wrote: "I am just here to watch this love story unfold. ❤️."
Cline's Instagram account date_dave_philly encourages single women over 21 to send him messages if they are interested in going on a date with him. He humorously requested that people avoid sending spam or threats.
So far, Cline has received several messages and even has a date lined up. His billboard will remain on display for an entire month, giving him ample time to see where this adventure leads.
Dave's bold move has certainly caught people's attention and sparked conversations both online and offline. Whether this will lead to lasting love or just be a memorable experience remains to be seen.
