This is American black comedy horror television series created by Aaron Mark and it stars Justina Machado in the title role. This one is based on the one-woman off-Broadwat play Empanada Loca and the podcast of the same name. It is about taking extreme measures to survive. You can watch it on Amazon Prime Video.
5. 72 Hoorain
Directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan it is based on the Quranic concept of Hoor. Except for English, it will be released in 10 other languages. The movie explores the context of religious terrorism and how the terror outfits convince innocent Muslim youth to attack non-muslims by luring them with the assurance of Jannat and committing suicide attacks in the name of Jihad. Also, it is a tragic reminder of the power of manipulation and the need to address the root causes of terrorism. The OTT platform on which it will be released is yet to be announced.
6. Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire
'Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire' is a pan-African Disney Plus Original animated series which is predicted to be a game changer for an African animation industry that continues to scale new heights. Executive produced by Oscar winner Peter Ramsey ("Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse"), the 10-part anthology series offers a stunning blend of mythology, Afrofuturism and science fiction. What's interesting is that it shows a never seen before portrait of the continent, and it presents 10 bold, wholly original visions of the future from a distinctly African perspective. 7. Bawaal
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, this romantic drama film is about marriage and social position and stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor as star-crossed lovers. It shows how every love story has its own battles. Apart from the intense backdrop, the teaser looks interesting because, in the end, we saw a scene of the lovers are seen suffocating in a gas chamber which represents their relationship. You can watch it on Amazon Prime Video on 21 July.
