What Dress Code Do You Need To Follow To Enter Ayodhya Ram Mandir? Know The Rules
Ayodhya, one of the seven sacred Saptapuris, is all set to host is about to witness a historic moment. On 22 January, from 12:15 to 12:45 pm, Lord Rama or Ram Lalla's pran pratistha, or consecration ceremony will take place after a 500-year-long battle.
The seven holy cities in India, known as Saptapuri, are considered the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Ayodhya is one of them. Other than this city, other Mokshdayini Saptapuris include Mathura, Dwarka, Varanasi, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Kanchipuram.

Amid so much anticipation, a question arises whether there will be any appropriate dress code for the visitors to worship Ram Lalla.
Stringent Security Measures And Dress Code
Stringent security measures will be in place for those who seek entry or access into this Ram temple complex. Certain electronic items will be prohibited during the temple premises such as earphones, mobile phones, watches, and remote keys.
Ayodhya's Ram Mandir maintains an inclusive stance regarding attire, emphasizing adherence to cultural traditions, while simultaneously prioritizing stringent security protocols to safeguard the sanctity of the sacred space.
Even though many temples follow stringent dress codes for the entry of visitors, the Ram Mandir Trust overseeing Ayodhya's Ram Temple has not mandated any particular dress code and kept it flexible. Irrespective of one's gender or age, individuals will be allowed to enter the temple premises dressed per Indian tradition.
The officer in charge of the Ram Mandir Trust, Prakash Gupta has mentioned that there is no prescribed dress code, but visitors are expected to adhere to cultural norms. Also, they need to ensure that the body is appropriately covered with no exposed body parts.
According to a news report, Uttar Pradesh has allocated Rs 90 crore for advanced security equipment and infrastructure, incorporating cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI), to bolster security measures during the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla. Plus, a deployment of 15,000 personnel is planned to ensure comprehensive security and the seamless execution of the event.
