Innovative technologies, amazing speed and stylish design is the common feature in all the recent cars but still we can't help going head over heels on the vintage cars. The posh look, the exotic style and the spectacular precision of design makes them the ruler of the kingdom of automobile.
One may own costliest car but a vintage car dressed in your garage, becomes the introduction of your rich taste. Auction of vintage car's are held time and again. A bid of above a million is no surprise. Here is the list of the best vintage cars till date -
1. 1927 Ford Model T – The Ford model was manufactured in the year 1908 but struggle to make it the best went on till 1927, when it emerged as the Model T. It superbly matched the standards of classic car. It was the first affordable luxury car. This car proved that even cars without high speed could be classic. Till date this car remains the most sought after car. It was declared the 'Car Of The Year' in 1999.
2.1952 Bentley Continental R – This luxury car was launched in the London Motor show. The cost of this car even in those days was so high that the elite of the society thought twice before possessing it. In the three years time only 207 were made. The independent wishbone suspension and leaf spring, made the ride luxurious. They rushed at 100 mph. The car was typical of the super elite class and topped the list of luxury ride.
3.1964 Porsche 911 - Porsche as always was the car of style. This car though claimed to be a four seater was comfortable for two and was used the same way. Porsche 911 was a bigger form of Porsche 356. The classic look of this car still makes it the most sort after among car lovers. Porsche has been the center of attraction in many movies of those time. Porsche showrooms still boast this car, as the demand is still on.
4.1967 Ford Mustang - With Ford Mustang introduced in 1967, began the trend of long cars. Stretched in length, Mustang attached to it's look, a sense of richness. It still remains the most popular vintage car among the classic car lovers. The 'Big Block' engine gave it a beastly speed, power disk brakes, tilt steering wheel, FMX transmission made it a perfect luxury car. It is the best car for a luxury drive.
5. 1969 Corvette Sting Ray – A car which is beyond the term exotic. It still rules the hearts with it's beautiful design. It is one of the most famous cars ever manufactured and boasted in most of the 60's movies. This car id the true definition of simplicity and style. The most after colour of this car was red which enhanced it;s richness. The split read suspension, disc breaks, big block engine, side exhaust pipe and innovative split rear window, made it the perfect car of the era.
6. 1971 CSL BMW – This car was the true definition of style. A handsome Csi coupe, was manufactures for European Touring Car Championship. But apart from the champions, it lured the rest of the crowd and soon became the hot favourite. This was the first among the light weight cars. The alloy hood, trunk lid and door skins lessened the weight of the car and the bucket seat was fitted with sports wheel. The straight-six engine and Bosch fuel injection gave a 200 bhp and the later versions had 370 bhp. 195 tyres made it a great performer on road.
