Worlds Most Expensive ''Champagne'' Tartan Rolls

The tartan is back in the fashion news. This particular fabric pattern apart from its popularity in the traditional Scottish attire, features a comeback this season and is about to roll off the production line at a Scottish mill, also claiming it to be one of the most expensive.
Woven from 100 percent pure Mongolian cashmere, the fabric will be used to produce a number of items including a kilt costing about 5,000 pounds. The tartan has been designed by Peebles company Holland and Sherry to celebrate 172 years of operation in the town, reports the Scotsman. Sales and marketing director Malcolm Campbell described it as a 'champagne fabric rather than a bottle of beer'.
It will be unveiled at November's Dressed to Kilt fashion show in New York, modeled by Sir Sean Connery and Ewan McGregor.
Brian Wilton, director of the Scottish Tartan Authority, said 'it accentuates the traditional high quality image of Scottish Highland dress which sadly has been dragged down to the gutter by many shops in the likes of Edinburgh's Royal Mile and Princes Street selling cheap imports'.
This sounds like a good news for the Scottish people, who can now be sure that the Tartan is not only traditional but also stylish. Mel Gibson are you listening?
