In the glamour world, Spring and Summer are noted for famous fashion weeks. Like fashion weeks in New York, Milan and Paris, there take place a lot more fashion weeks all over the world. Fashion Week is designed as a showcase for buyers, media and other fashion industry professionals. Few of the most popular fashion weeks are reviewed here.

showcase
its
collections
alongside

heavyweights

Vera
Wang

Diane

Furstenberg

Mercedes-Benz

Week
in
New
York
February
1st
through
8th,
in
the year 2008. The Fall 2008 Collections will be presented to the press, buyers, fashion insiders and celebrities who descend upon the city for the eight-day long event celebrating the best in fashion. Over 100,000 guests are expected to attend, including some 3,000 members of the press and fashion industry from around the world. The journalists, photographers, broadcasters and bloggers convening in the iconic tents, designed this season as a Greco-Roman "Temple of Fashion," will bring the Fall 2008 Collections to fashion-lovers worldwide.

Normally,
Fashion
Week
happens
at
a
nightclub
or
event
venue,
but
this
time
the
FDCC
is
taking
over
Nathan
Phillips
Square,
and
the
runway
shows
and
all
the
schmoozing
will
take
place
under
the
cover
of
tents.
The
designers
include
popular
designers
like
Montreal"s
Andy
The-Anh
and
Toronto's
David
Dixon.
Paris
Fashion
Week
At
the
beginning
of
the
autumn,
a
six-week
fashion
dash
sends
buyers
to
cities
around
the
globe
to
catch
up
on
all
the
new
trends
for
the
following
spring
and
summer.
Paris' Fashion
Week
is
based
at
the
Carrousel
du
Louvre.
All
the
usual
fashion
suspects
have
shows,
including
Karl
Lagerfeld,
Jean-Paul
Gaultier,
Vivienne
Westwood
and
Alexander
McQueen.
The
Paris
show
is
the
last
stop
after
New
York,
London
and
Milan.

will
run
from
January
14-17,
2008
at
the
Hong
Kong
Convention
&
Exhibition
Center.

fair
is

Council.

event
