According to The RBI, the holidays are classified into three categories- Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks' Closing of Accounts. So, if you have some urgent banking needs make sure you check the designated holiday dates before visiting the banks as the physical branches will be shut.
