'Rizz' Crowned Oxford University's Word Of The Year 2023: What Does Rizz Mean? Do You Have It?
How good are you when it comes to flirting with potential partners? If the answer is affirmative, then you may have 'rizz', even if you are not aware of it.
'Rizz' has been crowned Word Of The Year 2023 by Orford University Press and you have one person to thank for - Your very own Spider-Man!

This one is a Gen Z creation and is derived from the middle part of the word 'charisma', which was first recorded in 2022, according to Oxford. Rizz went viral in June when actor Tom Holland, who has played Spider-Man since 2016 in Marvel's films, admitted to having ' no rizz whatsoever' in an interview with Buzzfeed. Let us know more about it through this post.
What Does 'Rizz' Mean? Do You Have It?
The Oxford word of the year, 'Rizz' is an internet slag that is used for charm, beauty, or ability to attract romantic or sexual partners, mostly by young people.
On X (formerly Twitter), Oxford University Press said, 'CONFIRMED: The @OxUniPress Word of the Year 2023 is...
Rizz (n.) style, charm, or attractiveness; the ability to attract a romantic or sexual partner. #WOTY23'.
'Rizz' was one of eight words that were on the shortlist, all chosen to reflect the mood, ethos, or preoccupations of 2023. It was a public vote that narrowed down the list before Oxford lexicographers made the final decision. Other contenders ranged from Swiftie to beige flag to situationship.
