Republic Day Parade Tableaux 2026: States, Ministries and Themes Explained

The 77th Republic Day Parade on Kartavya Path is set to be one of the most visually impressive in recent years, showcasing India's culture alongside its journey towards self-reliance. This year's parade will spotlight 30 handcrafted tableaux, 17 from States and Union Territories and 13 from central Ministries and Departments, each telling its own story of tradition, progress, innovation, and identity.

What's the Big Picture?

The Republic Day Parade 2026 unfolds under two overarching themes:

  • "Swatantrata ka Mantra: Vande Mataram" - honouring 150 years of India's national song and the spirit of freedom.
  • "Samriddhi ka Mantra: Aatmanirbhar Bharat" - showcasing India's rapid growth, self-reliance and innovation across sectors.

Together, these themes aim to bridge India's rich cultural tapestry with its future-facing achievements - something that will be visible in every float that rolls down Kartavya Path.
