Late in the night when the entire world is peacefully tucked in their warm and comfortable beds, there is a world of best fantasy books series that bloomsin my mind. They build a beautiful land of imagination around you and steals you away from all the hard pressed realities of this materialistic world. We all need respite from our day to day lives and what’s better than this imaginary world where every story has a happy ending. If you ask me, my all-time favourites are….
20 Books That Touched You Forever
Book 1 – “A Song of Ice and Fire” by “George R. R. Martin”
One of the oldest and the best series of fantasy books written ever. It consists of seven volumes and became popular after the release “The Game of Thrones” TV Series. It was intended to be a trilogy but later extended to a seven book series.

Book 2 – “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” by “Rick Riordan”
Another series that wooed readers was Percy Jackson, which had five supplementary books along with three graphic novels. The story revolves around the life and struggle of Percy Jackson, who is a demi God. The book caught more audience after the release of the movies based on the series.
Book 3 – “Lord of the Rings” by “J R. R. Tolkien”
The Lord of the Rings is an epic fantasy novel series. The story began with the sequel to the famous book “The Hobbit”, but eventually became a larger project.

Book 4 – “The Chronicles of Narnia” by “C S Lewis”
This series is best fantasy books of all time & its considered a classic in children’s literature. It is set in an imaginary realm of animals and various fictional creatures such as phoenix.
Book 5 – “The Inheritance Cycle” by “Christopher Paolini”
This is young adult trilogy of fantasy fiction created in the world of Alagaesia. The story focuses on a boy named Eragon and his dragon. Series became even more famous after the release of movie “Eragon”.

Book 6 – “Harry Potter” by “J K Rowling”
Written by a British author, the series consists of seven books and is primarily based on the character of a young boy orphan boy Harry who is a wizard. He is up against an all-time evil wizard “Lord Voldemort”.

Book 7 – “Twilight” by “Stephenie Meyer”
A vampire love story based series consisting of four books, it depicts the life of a teenage girl Issabella Swan and her love story with a vampire Edward Cullen. The book series reached an ever high after the cinematic release.
Book 8 – “His Dark Materials Trilogy” by “Philip Pullman”
The epic evergreen trilogy of fantasy novels, which follows the coming of age of two children, Lyra and Will, as they wander into the realms of a parallel universe. The novel was further made into a movie called “The Golden Compass” in 2007.
Book 9 – “Witches of East End” by “Mellissa de la Cruz”
Famous author of the blue blood series started a new rage by writing about the witches of Beauchamp family. Followed by two sequels, the trilogy made a statement in the young adult readers of fantasy fiction.
Book 10 – “Secret Circle” by “L J Smith”
A young adult supernatural series of six books that follows the character of Cassandra Blake who moves in with her grandmother and gets initiated into a circle of witches.
