Don't know about you, but winters have always given people the chills. It always feels rather spooky with the shorter days and the longer nights. Though the winters are spooky, it has always been an excellent time to catch up on some classic and contemporary horror stories.

The often teased book worm pretty much spends most of the winter days cocooned in his/her warm blanket with a horror novel to keep them company. Stop judging them! In fact, you should read as well! Well, you can start off with some of the best horror novels of all-time. Proceed with caution, its not for the faint hearted.

So here goes my labour of the past winters, best horror novels of all-time:

Often called the "Master Of Horror" and quite rightly so, Stephen King has written over time, some of the most horrifying stories. The Shining is a classic written way back in 1977 but still gives you the chills. An amazing read for a cold winter night and also one of the best horror novels of all-time indeed!
