The most romantic day of the year Valentine's Day have just gone two days back but couples who got drenched in the toxicity of love are still drooling in the hangover of romance. To make this hangover even more romantic, lovers celebrate the Perfume Day on the 17th of February.

On Perfume Day, couple gift various fragrances to each other and enjoy the mingling amongst the romantic aroma. Perfumes, however, when created had no romantic connotations, they were used by the Egyptians as a balm to apply on the Mummy and for other religious ceremonies. It started being used for romantic purposes in the 1580 AD, by queens to enhance lovemaking. It is said that Queen Cleopatra used Opiates and perfumes for seduction and many believed that she was the one to invent pomades from bear grease. Since then the romantic properties of aroma was discovered and became the only member to be with the love of the lovers.
