Facebook A Suicide Samaritan

Facebook is launching a new suicide system which will help users report about someone who has suicidal tendencies. Facebook and the Samaritans organisation which works towards preventing suicide, have come together to help Facebook users be a part of the suicide prevention programme.
To Facebook suicide system, all one user needs to do is to fill a form about the person whom they think has suicidal tendencies. This form is then passed on to the Facebook moderator who decides that whether the report goes to Samaritans or to the police.
The Facebook suicide system form asks for the address URL of the users Facebook page, the message which he/she posted, full name and details of which other social network is used by the person concerned. Though Facebook suicide alert is the new feature to be launched, the social networking site always had the policy of contacting the police when they find that a certain user talking of bodily harm.
The Facebook suicide suicide system trial page till now has been a great hit among the selected group and is a great attempt to prevent the crime of suicide. The association of Samaritans with Facebook will hopefully help many individuals from killing themselves and understand the value of life.
