Protect The Environment

The students were taken for a practical study of Deepor Beel of Cakar Doi village in the outskirts of Guwahati and also to a bird Sanctuary.
"We have all gathered here and collected polythene bags here. These are very bad, as it doesn't decay. Near our school there is a Deepor Beel, and there are different varieties of fish and other things and so many birds come here. We have to build effort to protect this. We should not throw plastic bags there," said Babul Das, a student.
In order to protect and preserve the environment, it is important to create awareness among the students. They are our future and educating them can only bring about a change.
" All the residential people of the area should be made aware of the importance of protecting the environment. The NGO come here once or twice a week. But these people live here and know everything about this place." said Raviul Hazarika, member of the NGO.
