'Octomom' Lives With Guilt
Suleman appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show via a satellite and discussed what life has been like, ever since she became a tabloid target.
She said that being known as the 'Octomom' and doing reality TV shows makes her feel like a "carnival attraction." Suleman, the mother of 14 children told Winfrey that she will never do a reality television show again and that a parent must provide for their kids, not the other way around.
On the show, Suleman also described the difficulties of raising so many children as a single unemployed mother. She acknowledged not being able to provide the children with enough attention and support.
"I live every single day every hour of the day with a tremendous amount of guilt. And I feel guilty when I hold the one or two and then that I can't be there for the others. And they're crying. And then I feel guilty. Look at the older ones. They all have different unique needs. And I'll live with this forever. But all I can do now is keep on going, keep moving," said the mother on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
