The chances of finding a job through the job sites and ads are much lesser than finding a job through someone's recommendation. So who you know makes a big difference when it comes to a job change.

According to experts, networking is the factor that works best when it comes to finding your dream job. A survey says that 80 per cent of jobs are now secured through networking.

A healthy conversation at the gym, talking to other parents while waiting for your child at the school gate and connecting with more people in your profession are just as effective as posting resume to each and every relevant job vacancies.

Yes, look at job ads, contact the recruitment agencies but remember the secret behind looking for the right job – it is good networking at counts at the end!
