There is nothing like the right agency but it is best to choose an adoption agency close to your house. It makes it easier to check their authenticity. After deciding on adopting a baby, it takes some time for you to get him, thus, if it is close you can visit your baby often.

Every agency have their own set of documents but general documents are, identity prof, finance prof, conformation by relatives, they themselves check the authenticity of your documents etc. This might take a months time.
3.The Adoption – When the agency has verified your documents, they give a call to the would be parents and give them the details of the baby like medical report etc. In India background information is often not revealed. After you have accepted the baby, a few more days are needed for foster-care agreement to be ready. Then you can take the baby home. But until the court accepts the adoption, you remain the foster parents.
The court then sets a hearing date. On this day the parents need to meet the judge with the child and a social worker. The judge confirms everything and gives a hearing date which can be between four to eight months. During this time period, monthly reports of the child needs to be submitted to the court.
On the day of the hearing, the court asks the parents to make an investment in the name of the child. Then the parents draw an agreement on a stamp paper. It is a formal request for adoption to the judge. This application is then registered at a registrar office and the judge thereby declares you the legal parent of the child.
You then submit the prof of investment on the name of the child and a photo ID proff of the baby by the agency.

The adoption Agency is not allowed to make any extra money. The fees comprise of the costs of legal procedures and judge fees. Usually, one makes donation for children in the orphanage.
