Winter is all ready to say bye and it has to wait for almost 10 months to embrace the beautiful earth with its snowy blanket. Being the last month of the winter season, February may be sad to bid good bye and that may be the reason it has so many specialties than any other month in the year.

February is the month for Aquarians and Pisceans, the creative, dreamy, passionate as well as moody sun signs among others. The cozy and romantic aura of the season may be reflecting on them as the sunshine starts to penetrate into the earth.

February is the only month that lacks a complete 30 days in it. During the leap years, February has 29 days. Therefore the Leapeans have to wait for complete four years to celebrate their birthdays.

February is a romantic month. On this month arrives the lovers' festival that is none other than Valentine's Day. The Romans had earlier dedicated this day of the year for love lotteries.

February is the only moth in the year with four full 7-day weeks during once every six years and twice every 11 years. February is not blessed with a single full moon as it may be bidding farewell to the winter.

The birth flowers for February are violet and the primrose. Its birthstone is the amethyst.
