Valentine’s day In Pakistan
While there are ongoing slogans and declarations threat the Valentine's Day celebrations in India, there is a roaring welcome for Valentine's Day 2009 in Pakistan. The country's inclination for the Western tradition is indicated by the roaring sale of Valentine's Day roses.

Even though termed as 'Haram' by Islamic clerics, there is a huge demand for flowers at the nurseries than any other occasion like New Year and Eid. Among the flowers the highest demand is for fragrant and beautiful roses.

As you walk down the Pakistan streets you can see the flower outlets decked up with love themes, red-coloured balloons, teddy bears, cards, romantic poetry books and other colourful ornaments. Florists are expecting a huge sale on February 14th, which comes as a blessing for those in the flower trade.

Some lovers even stocked fresh lots of red roses in deep freezers for not facing shortage on the romantic day. AGENCIES
