A R Raman Creates History!

The Oscar awards 2009 came out with a history making news for India. The music composer A R Rahman held the prestige of India high with two Oscar awards for Best Original score and Best Original song for the movie Slumdog Millionaire.

Rahman and renowned lyricist Gulzar shared the award for Best Song 'Jai Ho'. Another Indian artist Ressul Pookutty also walked away with the golden trophy for Best Sound Mixing.

A R Rahman thanked people from Mumbai and the essence of the film, which is about "optimism and the power of hope and our lives".

"All my life I've had a choice of hate and love. I chose love, and I'm here. God bless," he said.
