An experiential purchase essentially satisfies a human being"s need for social connectedness and vitality. This brings the feeling of being alive in every person. Even though someone has to spend more for these experiences these moments lead to long-term satisfaction.

The findings were presented at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology annual meeting on 7th February 19, 2009.
