Race At Bangalore Blogathon!
A Blogathon is an event where bloggers make posts on a particular issue with a proper plan and in a stipulated time. There are diverse organised blogathons around the world for different causes. In Bangalore, Blank Noise Project (BNP) initially rallied a notable blogathon against street harassment/eve teasing in 2006.
There are many bloggers" meets happening in the city with a goal of analyzing and discussing the way ahead for bloggers. However these meets turned up to be a failure, since; the weak number of attendees and personal exchanges. In this situation some of the Bangalore bloggers are coming up with the novel idea of a Blogathon in March 2008.
The aim of Bangalore Blogathon is to bring together bloggers, who post their concerns on issues affecting the city and arrive at plausible solutions. The bloggers can take part from anywhere and they have to track back to the organisers for one week. The ideas will be taken in front of the relevant authorities and the public at a later stage.
The idea of blogathon came out from Mohan Pillai, a member of Blogaloreans. This is an initial attempt to link bloggers, Bangaloreans and the public. Now, hurry and let your concerns reach the public.
