Lunar Eclipse 2023 Live Streaming: When and How To Watch Penumbral Chandra Live Telecast!
The world witnessed an exceptionally rare hybrid solar eclipse on 20 April 2023 and it will be followed by another celestial event, Penumbral lunar eclipse on 05 May 2023. While many will be lucky enough to experience this event, others may have to live stream it.
What Is Penumbral Lunar Eclipse? Will It Be Visible In India?
A penumbral lunar eclipse takes place when the Moon moves through the faint, outer part of Earth's shadow, which is called the penumbra.

This year, the first Lunar Eclipse (Penumbral lunar eclipse) will begin on 05 May 2023 at 08: 44 PM IST and will end at 01:01 AM IST on 6 May 2023. It will be visible in South/Eastern Europe, most of Asia, Australia, Africa, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, and Antarctica. Also, this year, Lunar Eclipse will coincide with Buddha Purnima which is a very popular festival in India. There will be no sutak period during this time as well.
The second lunar eclipse will happen on 28 October 2023 at 04:24 pm and it will be visible in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, North/East South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, and Antarctica. However, the lunar eclipse will be only visible from India if the weather is clear.
It is hard to spot a penumbral eclipse because about 70 percent of the diameter of the moon is shaded. However, when the eclipse reaches its maximum point, one may be able to witness it, as the Moon appears slightly darker than usual.
