Michelle Obama Presents Best Picture At Oscars
Oscars 2013 has become the talk of the town right now. First lady, Michelle Obama gave a surprise at the glamorous award function.
Before the Best Picture announcement, Jack Nicholson told the audience that a special guest was joining him to present the award. Everyone was surprised to see who it was! But, it was none other than the First Lady, Michelle Obama.

The screen showed Michelle Obama straight from the White House. The First lady announced the Best Picture Winner. Michelle Obama crowned Ben Affleck's film Argo as the winner. Wearing a silver sleeveless gown, First Lady, Michelle Obama said, "Welcome to the White House, everyone. I am so honored to help introduce this year's nominees for Best Picture and to help celebrate the movies that lift our spirits and broaden our minds and transport us to people we have never imagined. This has been an exciting year for movies and I want to congratulate all nominees on their tremendous work."
First Lady Michelle Obama continued; "These nine movies took us back in time and all around the world. They made us laugh. They made us weep and made us grip our armrests just a little tighter. They taught us that love can endure against all odds and transform our minds in the most surprising ways. And they reminded us that we can overcome any obstacle if we dig deep enough and fight hard enough and find the courage to believe in ourselves."
Nominated for 7 categories, Argo grabbed 3 Oscar Awards. Argo is the only 4th film in the Oscars history to win Best Picture without a corresponding Best Director nomination. Ben Affleck gave an emotional speech on the stage while receiving the award. He ended saying, "It doesn't matter how you get knocked down in life, all that matters is how you get back up." This was definitely a surprise at the Academy Awards 2013!
