Chhath Puja is almost here, which is one of the prominent festivals in Hinduism. This one is dedicated to Lord Surya and Chhahti Mata. While people are excited about this day, surely we all want to go to our native places and major destinations during this festive season, the Indian Railways are doing everything they can to tackle the surge in ticket books and hence they have started 283 special trains.

These special trains are being operated to connect major destinations across the country. The special trains will run 4480 trips till Chhath Puja. Also, the East Central Railways is operating 42 trips of these new trains towards Bihar.

According to reports, Central Railway is operating 14 special trains, East Coast Railway (12), Eastern Railway (8), Northern Railway (34), North Eastern Railway (4), North East Frontier Railway (22), North Western Railway (24), Southern Railway (10), South Eastern Railway (8), South Central Railway (58), South Western Railway (11), and Western Railway (36).

Chhath Puja Special Trains: Mumbai-Patna, Pune-Patna, Mumbai-Kanpur; Routes, Timings

1. LTT-Samastipur AC Weekly Superfast Special
01043 Special train will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.15 pm every Thursday and arrive at Samastipur at 9.15 pm the following day, making a total of 7 trips from October 19 to November 30.01044 Special train will run from October 20 to December 1, leaving Samastipur at 11.20 pm every Friday and reaching Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 7.40 am on the third day.

2. LTT- Banaras Weekly Special01053
LTT- Banaras weekly special train will depart every Monday at 12.15 pm from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, starting from October 16 to November 27 and make 7 trips in total. It will reach Banaras at 4.05 pm the next day.

01054 special train will run every Tuesday from October 17 to November 28 and leave Banaras at 8.30 pm. It will arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 11.55 pm the next day, making 7 trips in total.

3. Pune-Gorakhpur Superfast Weekly Specials
01431 Special train will depart from Pune at 4.15 pm every Friday, starting from October 20 to December 1 and make a total of 7 trips. It will reach Gorakhpur at 9 pm the following day.01432 special train will run every Saturday from October 21 to December 2 and leave Gorakhpur at 11.25 pm. It will arrive in Pune at 6.25 am on the third day, making 7 trips in total.

4. Pune-Kanpur weekly special
01037 special train will depart from Pune at 06.35 am and reach Kanpur at 07.10 am the following day, making 5 trips in total from November 1 to November 29, every Wednesday.

Similarly, from November 2 to November 30, every Thursday, 01038 will depart from Kanpur at 08.50 hrs and reach Pune at 12.05 hrs the following day, making 5 trips in total.

The trains will stop at the following stations: Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati (Habibganj), Bina, Virangna Lakshmibai Jhansi, Urai and Kanpur.

5. Pune-Danapur-Prayagraj weekly special
01039 weekly special will leave Pune at 19.55 hrs every Saturday from November 12 to December 12 and arrive in Danapur at 04.30 hrs on the third day, making a total of 5 trips.

01040 Weekly special will leave Danapur at 06.30 hrs o­n every Monday from 06.11.2023 to 04.12.2023 (5 trips) and arrive in Pune at 17.35 hrs the next day.

6. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Prayagraj - Varanasi Special train
01409 Special train will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.15 hrs on four days of the week: Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. It will reach Danapur at 17.00 hrs on the following day after 21 trips from October 28 to December 2.

01410 Special train will run in the opposite direction, leaving Danapur at 18.15 hrs on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday and arriving at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 23.55 hrs on the next day.The trains will also stop at these stations: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn., Buxar, Ara, and Danapur.
