Author Ruskin Bond Admitted to Dehradun Hospital; Health Updates Inside
Renowned Indian author Ruskin Bond, beloved for his evocative stories of childhood, nature and life in the hills, has been hospitalised in Dehradun after experiencing discomfort and difficulty walking due to a leg problem. The famous 91-year-old literary figure is being given proper medical attention, and all of India is eager to see him recover.
Why He Was Admitted

Bond was taken to a private hospital in Dehradun on 13 December after he started having trouble walking because one of his legs weakened. A close friend of the writer confirmed that his difficulty with mobility led to the decision to bring him in for medical assessment and treatment.
His relatives and people close to him have noted that his situation is not alarming. He is currently undergoing physiotherapy and observation under medical care, with hopes from doctors that he will soon be able to go home in a matter of days if his progression continues steadily.

His first novel, The Room on the Roof, won the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize, and he was awarded both Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan for his work in literature.
