Are Smriti And Palaash Marrying On December 7? Here’s The Real Story
Rumours have been swirling in entertainment and sports circles that former wedding plans of Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal have been revived, this time for December 7, 2025. But before fans rush to wish the pair, there's a strong caveat: no official confirmation has been given, and close sources have dismissed the date.
Why December 7 Is Being Mentioned and Who Says It's Not True
Their wedding, which was scheduled for November 23, 2025, was postponed at the last minute when Smriti's father was hospitalised with serious health complications just hours before the wedding ceremony. Reports also surfaced that Palaash was unwell the same day.
The aftermath was filled with speculations, rumours, and leaked information doing the rounds on social media. The loudest among them is a viral story claiming that December 7th has been fixed as the new wedding date.
But the supposed "new date" has little to stand on. Speaking to the media, Smriti's brother, Shravan Mandhana, said he had no idea about such plans: "As of now, the wedding is still postponed."
Similarly, media fact-checks describe the December 7 claim as 'unverified,' adding that neither family has announced any concrete rescheduling.
What We Do Know: Postponed, Not Cancelled - For Now
- The wedding between Smriti and Palaash was indeed postponed, not cancelled, at the last minute, due to health emergencies involving Smriti's father.
- Palaash's family explained publicly that the decision came after serious concern for Smriti's father, and both families have requested privacy while his health stabilises.
- Some of the social-media postings related to their pre-wedding festivities, videos, and images, have been quietly removed, which has fueled gossip but has not been officially explained.
As it is, no statement has confirmed a new date yet; the families are reportedly seeking to devote themselves to recovery and discretion.
Why the Rumours Are Still Flying: Social Media, Speculation & Pressure
The stir around the December 7 date shows how fast rumours can gain momentum, especially when the fans, threads on Reddit, leaked chats, and gossip portals come together to fill the silence with speculations. A few theories of alleged cheating also came to light, which added noise and confusion to the already sensitive situation.
Those whispers continue, despite repeated denials and clarifications from close family members and only partly because no new official date has been confirmed.
This kind of public pressure on a very personal moment shows just how fragile private decisions become under media glare - especially in high-profile relationships combining sports and entertainment.
