Anne Hathaway and James Franco hosting the Oscars is a still a debatable issue. One of the BBC reporter Ben Sutherland said, “The pair failed to find the chemistry that would lead to their partnership being remembered as a success – or indeed to be remembered at all. At the heart of the problem was the lack of spark between the two. He came across as disinterested and she appeared to be over-excited."

Anne Hathaway's hosting was also a topic of debate among the Hollywood celebrities. However, untouched by all the criticism, Anne Hathaway claims to have loved the experience of hosting the Oscars and also gives credit to James Franco her co-host. She says it was a great experience hosting the Oscars with him. “I had a blast. I kept waiting to become nervous. Everyone kept asking me, 'Are you nervous?" The whole ride from beginning to end was joy, pure joy," says Anne Hathaway.

The queen of talk show Oprah Winfrey seems to have loved Anne Hathaway's Oscar hosting. “You were great. I think all the stars aligned for you in that moment last night. It was like a big bang moment for your life and career," says Oprah Winfrey. Some say that it was just Oprah Winfrey's way of making Anne Hathaway feel better.
