Haiti Victim Not Part Of Angelina's Family

The news that Angelina Jolie is planning to adopt an orphan from Haiti has been denied completely. Reports had claimed earlier that Angelina Jolie is planing to adopt a child called Leah, who has lost her family in the Haiti earthquake 2010.

“Angelina"s lawyers are in the process of getting an authorization so Leah can spend some time with her in America. That"s standard procedure, basically they need to make sure Leah will adapt well.A lot of observers from groups such as the Red Cross are ensuring that Angelina is treated like anybody else and not fast tracked, which would be viewed insidiously," reported the Daily Mirror.

However, this special interest of Angelina Jolie ws mistaken by many as her adoption plan but her representative has cleared all doubts by reporting that Angelina Jolie is not adopting Leah. “Earlier this week, the Daily Mirror U.K. and others reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in the process of adopting a child from Haiti. There is no truth to these rumors.

Rather, Ms. Jolie is focused on enhancing the welfare and legal protection of children within Haiti. As such, she has been meeting with government of Haiti officials, Haitian legal experts and non-governmental organizations regarding a new initiative of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation. The recently launched Jolie Legal Fellows Program will assist the justice system in Haiti to improve child protection," Reported Daily Mirror.
